Hey There
We are so glad that you have found us and hope to meet you in person soon!

All About Me
My name is Heather and I am the Executive Director of Willow & Wild. I am a mother of four AMAZING children. I have three sons with ADHD and one son who climbs mountains with diagnoses of PTSD, Autism, Dyslexia, and Dyscalculia. I have been a stepmom, a foster mom, an adoptive mom, and just a mom. Above all, I have loved my children fiercely and fought for them every step of the way.
Always a proponent of education being revised to fit the needs of the child rather than requiring a child to sit still and regurgitate information, I have long dreamt of creating a safe, inclusive, and FUN learning environment for not only my children but others as well.

We bought this 7 1/2 acre farm for our children convinced nature and a connection to the land were not only educational but also healing. It is proving to be just that. It is my sincere desire to bring that to other children who don't fit well in the conventional educational setting. As homeschoolers ourselves, we see the joy in pursuing a life well lived.
We are equally committed to building community and encouraging others to connect to the land and to one another more. Growing and raising our own food is a valuable skill. Getting to love on cute animals while children laugh and play is the bonus. We hope to create a special place here on our little homestead and want to invite you to be a part of it all.
You are invited to join us in something amazing as we grow and build. The willow tree is strong and resilient, and so are we.
